The White Rabbit
(05.11.2005)
I feel like the white rabbit from Alice in Wonderland constantly rushing from one end of town to the other trying to get everything sorted for my new apartment. My new apartment, yeah, I got an apartment in Toronto! It is a great location and takes only 15-20 minutes to get to work on the street car. I haven't moved in yet as the lease doesn't start until Monday. Even then I have to wait a few days before I can get a chequebook from the bank so I can hire the lift for an hour to bring in large items (like a bed!) Until then I'll probably be sleeping on the floor in my sleeping bag. I knew it would come in handy eventually!
Work is going well. Really enjoying it at the moment with lots of interesting things to work on. I am a little distracted with all the moving shannigans in my lunch breaks but I will be able to chill out once my apartment is sorted in a week or two.
I am going to try and have a relaxing weekend. It is still unusually warm for this time of year. It reached 19 degrees today and its November! Tomorrow is November 5th (from this timezones point of view), but there won't be any fireworks here. It is a British tradition. I'll have to wait until New Year for the best fireworks here. One thing I am looking forward to though is the Christmas/Winter Parade through the streets of Toronto on the 20th November.
Anyway, I need some sleep,
