Chipmonks and Su Doku!

(28.09.2005)

I finally got the chipmonk photographs I was hoping for. The chipmonks in the garden are too shy, but I went to the Royal Botanical Gardens and went on a woodland walk there. I sat down for a drink and all these chipmonks appeared around me. It was really amazing. I switched the camera on (with the Sigma 70-300mm lens) and tried to get some shots with the flash. That kind of gave them all red-eye, so I decided the flash was a bad idea. In the end I used ISO-200 and a shutter speed of around 1/200 seconds and the best aperture the lens would let me have. I am quite pleased with the results. I need another challenge now. :)

I went for an interview yesterday. I don't want to jinx it by posting about it here, but I find out next week if I got it or not. All I can say is that it is exactly what I am looking for and is in a great location. :)

I swapped my iPod mini, due to the scratches. I walked in with my suit and straightened my tie. I think that helped a lot. On the phone they said they were going to charge me 10% re-stocking fee. I knew if I made the effort that I could get them to swap it for free. The plan worked. :) I came back without checking it and opened it to find out they had swapped it for a white one instead of black. I don't think they will change it again, so I've decided to keep it for now. I am going to keep it covered up until they produce a proper protective seal for it.

I've started playing a new puzzle game, It is Japanese in origin and is becoming a big thing over here now (particularly for commuters). It is like a crossword puzzle but it uses the numbers 1 to 9 in a nine by nine table. Google it if you want to know a bit more about it, but it is a great game for passing the time on the train. I have bought a Su Doku book with some Very Easy and Easy level challenges. Apparently the more difficult ones can take a long time to solve and involve many layers of logical thinking! Lots of fun!

Anyway, here are the chipmonks!

RE: The pictures during the film festival...
You need to get photos of the brunet off Lost!!! Grrrrrrr(homer sounding), and did Jackie Chan know your site was W3C compliant and used XHTML even though you did it in ASP.Net?
